Carolina Hernández Cufré: “I processed 10 years of speeches with AI… and this is what I found”

Media Party

At Media Party, Carolina Hernández Cufré presented her analysis of a decade of presidential speeches in Argentina, spanning from Cristina Kirchner to Javier Milei. The goal was to systematize seven hours of official oratory to identify recurring patterns and themes among the different leaders. This research offers a data-driven perspective on the evolution of national political rhetoric over the last ten years.

The journalist used Google’s NotebookLM to process the texts due to its efficiency in analyzing closed sources. The findings revealed that inflation, poverty, and infrastructure were the most repeated concepts of the decade. Additionally, unique terms were detected for each administration, such as Procrear for Kirchner or Motosierra (Chainsaw) for Milei. The AI concluded that the period was marked by political conflict and economic instability.

The project demonstrates that artificial intelligence does not replace journalistic work, but rather enhances it through an exhaustive analysis of large volumes of data. By automating processing tasks, professionals can focus on deep interpretation and context. This technological collaboration redefines research standards, allowing hours of raw content to be transformed into structured and precise information.
