From Media Party, we are proud to present our 13th edition, the leading annual conference that brings together entrepreneurs, journalists, programmers, designers, technologists, academics, investors, and policymakers from around the world. From October 2–4, 2025, we expect to welcome over 2,000 people from 30 countries to Ciudad Cultural Konex in Buenos Aires, all united by the common goal of accelerating innovation, finding sustainability, and strengthening credible ecosystems for the news world.

As a central part of this experience, we have developed our Truth Tech Initiative, which culminates in a specialized hackathon on October 4th, designed to enhance “journalism with superpowers” through innovative verification technologies.

Our Vision: Truth Tech Initiative

From Media Party, we have created the Truth Tech Initiative with a clear mission: to strengthen trust in information ecosystems. We recognize that “truth will be as scarce as drinking water in the future,” which is why we have committed to creating a portfolio of AI-powered technologies and innovative solutions that improve content credibility.

We understand Truth Tech as a vertical that integrates knowledge and innovation from disciplines as diverse as content creation, AI ethics, behavioral science, cybersecurity, neuroscience, computer vision, and blockchain. Our goal is ambitious but necessary: to generate disruptive ideas in credible information, connect diverse actors to develop innovative solutions, and promote this concept globally within the media ecosystem.

The Complete Experience: Three Days of Collaborative Innovation

Days 1 and 2 (October 2–3): Preparation and Contextualization at Konex

We have designed the first two days at Ciudad Cultural Konex to deeply address the concept of Truth Tech. We will explore alongside our participants how AI tools can positively disrupt content production, distribution, and personalization, with special emphasis on ethics in AI development and use and information integrity against disinformation.

We will offer keynote speeches with global leaders, Lightning Talks with agile ideas, and specialized workshops on agile methodologies, product design, and artificial intelligence. We especially highlight the exclusive workshop led by Sasa Vucinic from North Base Media, available by invitation only.

These sessions constitute the essential preparation and contextualization to maximize the impact of projects that will be developed during the hackathon.

Day 3 (October 4): Truth Tech Hackathon at Area3

The hackathon represents the culminating moment of our initiative. We invite developers, journalists, designers, and entrepreneurs to co-create prototypes and ideas with a specific focus on verification technologies and solutions for information security environments.

Our Strategic Allies: Democratizing Innovation

Strategic Partner: LAIA — Open Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence

We are especially proud to have LAIA as our strategic partner at Media Party 2025. This is a civil association comprised of professionals who explore technological advances in artificial intelligence and their impacts on society in an interdisciplinary manner, with the goal of contributing to creating a more equitable and accessible AI environment.

During the hackathon, LAIA leaders will be available to participate in co-creating projects relevant to our Truth Tech Initiative. Their focus on AI democratization and promoting open technologies that enable technological sovereignty aligns perfectly with our objectives of generating accessible and transparent solutions.

Reliable Data Sources

We have established partnerships with organizations that have spent years collecting, verifying, and curating the highest quality data:

World Bank
Will support us with the most reliable social and economic data by country in the world. The World Bank leads fundamental open government and open data initiatives, guaranteeing the integrity of information we will handle during the hackathon.

Internet Society (Pulse)
We will count on data from Internet Society, the most reliable source on global network usage. This foundation, dedicated to building an open, secure, and inclusive Internet, will provide us with essential metrics for projects related to digital connectivity.

AVINA
Joins as a partner to provide information and data on territorial development maps of Argentina, contributing a crucial perspective for projects focused on sustainability and regional development.

FUNDAR
This organization dedicated to the study, research, and design of public policies focused on developing a sustainable and inclusive Argentina will contribute their valuable datasets to strengthen government transparency projects.

Technological Tools: Participation Requires No Programming

This year, we have ensured that not being a programmer is NOT a limitation for participation. We have strategic partners that guarantee anyone can create innovative solutions:

Lovable — Development Without Technical Barriers
Lovable allows journalists and academics to create functional applications through natural language processing. Our participants will be able to develop tools specific to their professional needs using only prompts directed to artificial intelligence that materializes ideas into functional code.

TwelveLabs — Intelligent Audiovisual Content Analysis
TwelveLabs offers audiovisual content analysis technology that enables precise semantic searches. Professionals will be able to locate specific segments in extensive material through natural language queries, significantly optimizing journalistic research processes.

Our Objectives and Methodology

We seek to create technologies that build trustworthy, sustainable, and cognitively independent information ecosystems. The specific objectives we have set include:

  • Develop tools that strengthen journalistic verification capabilities
  • Create systems that promote evidence-based decision making
  • Implement transparent solutions that protect against information manipulation
  • Establish technological frameworks that support audiences’ critical thinking

Guide for Our Participants

Recommended preparation:

  • Review our documentation on Truth Tech and its applications
  • Identify specific problems in journalistic workflow
  • Explore the datasets we will make available

During the hackathon:

  • Prioritize essential functionalities given time constraints
  • Fully leverage the technological tools we provide
  • Integrate journalistic, technical, and design perspectives in multidisciplinary teams
  • Prepare presentations focused on practical applicability

The Impact We Seek: Journalism with Superpowers

From Media Party, we aspire for this hackathon to generate concrete tools that enhance “journalism with superpowers” through applied technology. The projects developed can become transformative instruments that improve source verification, optimize research processes, and strengthen information content credibility.

Our Truth Tech Initiative represents our commitment to building technological infrastructure that sustains information quality in an increasingly complex media environment. We establish it as a central pillar of Media Party, promoting disruptive solutions that restore public trust and protect against the manipulative influence of disinformation.

We firmly believe that the future of reliable information is built through collaboration between technology, journalism, and civil society. We invite you to be part of this fundamental transformation.

Building together the future of reliable information through collaborative innovation.
