For over a decade, Media Party has been leading the revolution in journalism through technology in Latin America. The key: joining forces with professionals from various fields, such as developers, designers, scientists, and activists. Data journalism emerged from collaborative work and the adoption of new technologies by newsrooms. Throughout its history, Media Party has witnessed incredible, groundbreaking projects.
Data science has opened new doors for journalism, allowing reporters to uncover unprecedented stories and tell them in unique ways. We have also explored the ongoing challenges within the data journalism community—from the need to establish ethical guidelines to standardize processes, to the present day, where artificial intelligence offers solutions while raising new questions and challenges.
Are you a journalist? A data scientist? An activist? A programmer? A graphic designer? Are you interested in discovering new ways of storytelling through data? You’re in the right place! Below is the schedule to explore these opportunities together.
