Despite these technological advancements, Morales stressed that AI is not a replacement for human talent. The role of the journalist—investigating, contrasting information, and providing context—remains essential. Furthermore, the biggest hurdle wasn’t the technology, but overcoming cultural challenges within the newsroom. Ultimately, AI must enhance productivity, not make editorial decisions.
