At Media Party 2019, Romina Zanellato and Agustina P. Frontera presented LatFem, a digital outlet born from Argentina’s Ni Una Menos movement to challenge traditional newsroom perspectives. Rejecting victimizing narratives, the team practices “4D” feminist journalism—denouncing oppression, demanding accountability, providing data, and centering the desire, vitality, and collective resistance of the movement.
By leveraging social media interventions and non-solemn digital personas, LatFem makes complex health and human rights topics accessible to broader audiences. Zanellato and Frontera emphasized that their work relies on building collaborative media networks across Latin America, proving that journalism can serve as both a rigorous information tool and a catalyst for social change.
