Buenos Aires, August 4, 2025 — Media Party and FLACSO Argentina have announced the launch of the “Educational Program: Artificial Intelligence and Journalism. The Value of Truth in the Age of Hallucinations.” This joint initiative is designed to equip journalism and communication professionals with strategic, technical, and critical skills to navigate the transformative impact of AI.
The intensive three-month course weaves together theory, practice, and critical reflection, exploring how AI redefines tools, outcomes, and the very nature of truth, authorship, and ethics in journalistic content creation.
The program will feature leading experts, including: Andrés Cotton, Paula Salerno, Débora Burin, Natalia Zuazo, Aldana Vales, Andrés Piazza, David Coronel, Sebastián Hacher, Marina Walker, Alejandra Dandan, and Silvina Heguy.

The contents are structured into three key modules: “Fundamentals of AI and the Epistemology of Information,” “AI in the Production of Journalistic Information: Ethics, Authorship, and Responsibility,” and “AI as a Resource to Generate Content with Journalistic Criteria,” and it will be coordinated by Mariano Blejman.
The course will take place over 12 synchronous remote classes, with 2 hybrid sessions, opening and closing, at the FLACSO Argentina headquarters in Buenos Aires. The two-hour classes will be taught weekly on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, starting September 3rd.
