Associated events are part of Media Party’s sustainability model and enrich the gathering’s experience.
Given the growing trend of organizing parallel events that impact Media Party’s image and its ability to secure sustainability, we have decided to publish our policy for associated events.
This policy regulates their realization, guaranteeing coherence, quality, and sustainability.
Therefore: independent parallel events to Media Party are not allowed.
What is a parallel event?
It is an activity held from the day prior to the event until the end of Media Party that: a) Convenes Media Party speakers. b) Convenes allies and the event’s target audience.
It is different if you want to organize an event associated with Media Party and thereby contribute to the consolidation of the community.
What is an associated event?
a) It must be coordinated with the host organization, Media Party. b) It can be held in coordination with a sponsor or ally of the organization. c) Only networking events may be held as associated events, unless expressly approved by Media Party. d) They must be approved by the Media Party organizing committee and appear in the event program.
Why do we do this?
Media Party is a free event that brings together thousands of innovators, journalists, technologists, academics, and industry leaders from around the world. Its sustainability depends on the support of foundations, philanthropic organizations, strategic partners, and technology providers who believe in our mission.
In this way, we aim to avoid actions that affect the sustainability of the event.
How to organize an associated event?
- Propose the action for approval to production@mediaparty.org
- Coordinate the venue, desired guest list, and invitations.
- Add it to the Media Party schedule.
Every associated event must be branded with the MP logo and the associated event co-host.
Participation in the Media Party event implies acceptance of the policies listed here. Non-acceptance may result in the cancellation of scheduled activities.
We are excited about the ideas your organization can contribute, and we appreciate your collaboration in ensuring Media Party remains an open, free, and high-quality space for the entire global community.
Contact: If you are thinking of organizing a parallel activity, please contact production@mediaparty.org to coordinate and ensure that your proposal contributes to the success of the entire community.
