From May 8 to 10, the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Columbia University will be transformed into a global laboratory where 300 scientists, journalists, developers, and entrepreneurs gather to redefine the future of the industry.
Media Party New York 2026 returns for its second edition at a turning point: the consolidation of the “post-search” era. In this new paradigm, news discovery has migrated from traditional broadcasts and search engines toward individual creators, vertical video, and generative AI interfaces. While young audiences and traditional consumers alike reconfigure their consumption habits, global newsrooms are integrating synthetic tools in disparate ways, producing a spectrum of results that oscillates between editorial innovation and cautionary failures.
Our mission is to transform this isolated experimentation into a framework of radical collaboration. By connecting perspectives traveling from Buenos Aires to Nairobi or New York, we aim to resolve the fragmentation of information access and design resilience strategies that protect journalistic integrity. To lead the sessions and set the roadmap for these three days of innovation, we are proud to present the Keynote Speakers who will head the conversation at the industry’s epicenter.
This year, the main stage will feature pioneering voices operating at the intersection of AI, investigative journalism, and civic technology.
